As a crime wave sweeps through Hong Kong, the police call on Jessica Yang, a rising star in their ranks, to help stop a notorious gang of thieves. I know this isn't directly criterion related, but the box set only has the first two films, and the third seems to be the last generally well received one.

The third film in the trilogy is the most entertaining and the most well-balanced one. Far superior -- in terms of plot and action -- to Rumble in the Bronx, Supercop can be considered Jackie Chan's breakout film in the United States -- even though it didn't really make it to western shores until three years after its release. The dubbing on this version is hilarious, but, as is usual for Chan films, the dialogue isn't really the point. Unfortunately, the "undercover" aspect of the story makes Jackie into a more violent character than usual; he is forced to perform more aggressive deeds than he usually does in his movies.
